Fashconnects was birth during the global pandemic by Chantal Joseph.
Our founder moved to NYC from Miami at the age of 20, in hopes of pursuing a career in fashion. Like others, she struggled with figuring out what exactly she wanted to do post graduation. After pursuing her MBA she realized she had a strong passion for entrepreneurship, however she knew that she needed more experience.
She decided to work on gaining industry experience by working for major corporate retailers over the years, where she specialized in Merchandise Buying and Planning. Throughout her career, she experienced great difficulty as a woman of color trying to make the right connections with the right people, to help drive her career to the next level. She found there was a lack of networking opportunities centered around women of color in corporate. Thus, she decided to create this industry focused platform to help solve that problem.
Thank you so much for being part of this community. There are plenty of ways that you can become more involved by staying connected with us on social media and providing feedback of how we can best support you!
